Day 01 : Delhi - Paro - Thimphu
Assembled at IGI Airport to board Druk Air flight for Paro. From the flight a close up view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Kanchenjunga and other famous peaks become a reality. Met upon arrival-proceed through spectacular Mountain views and peaceful countryside to Thimpu, Bhutan’s capital. Thimphu lies in a beautiful, wooded valley, sprawling up a hillside on the bank of the Thimphu Chhu river, and it is the only world capital without traffic lights. Despite recent development, Thimphu retains its charming, medieval feel thanks to its brightly painted, elaborately decorated facades.. The capital's most striking visual landmark is the magnificent Tashichho dzong, which is the seat of the Royal Government and Central Monastic Body.
Enroute, visit Bhutanese form house, traditionally built entirely without nails. Check in, Dinner and overnight at Thimphu.
Day 02 : Thimpu
Breakfast. Visit to the National Library which hosts a vast collection of ancient Buddhist manuscripts the School of Thangkha Painting and the Traditional Medicine Institute. Sightseeing of Dechenchholing valley and witness the gold and silver smiths at work. Dinner and overnight at Thimphu.
Day 03 : Thimphu
After breakfast a visit to the weekly local market and experience the ambience of the vegetable bazar the Memorial Chorten of his late Majesty, King Jime Dorje Wangchuk the Tashichho Dzong & National Assembly. Lunch. A visit to the handicrafts Emporium, to see the exquisite artistry of traditional crafts and textiles. At leisure in town for shopping. Dinner and overnight at Thimphu.
Day 04 : Thimphu - Mendegang
After breakfast a 02 hrs drive to Mendegang across the Dochula Pass. Short halt for tea and refreshments at Cochula. Check in Lunch. A drive to Punakha Dzong - the Punakha High School. Dinner and overnight at Mendegang.
Day 05 : Mendegang - Gangtey Gompa - Mendegang
After breakfast Begin the day touring this rustic farming community with a visit to the gold domed 17th century Gangtey Gompa, an active school for novice monks. This area is also home to the endangered black necked crane that migrate from Central Asia to pass the winter here.
Enjoy your lunch in the valley of Gompa. Dinner and overnight at Mendegang.
Day 06 : Mendegang - Paro
Breakfast. Proceed to Paro, a majestic mount retreat of Bhutan. This hidden treasure of the Himalayas, known as the Dragon Kingdom, is still home to an ancient style of life. Lunch in Thimphu. Enroute visit the Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress of its kind and now a religious university. Check in Dinner and overnight at Paro.
Day 07 : Paro
After breakfast the day begins with a visit of the Drukgley Dzong and on a clear day the 24,000 ft. white domed peak of sacred Chomolhari (Mt. of Goddess) looms overhead. A visit to the National Museum housed in an ancient watch tower, which has a fine collection of Thangkha, textiles, weapons, and artefacts-short walk to Paro Rimpung Dzong. Dinner and overnight at Paro.
Day 08 : Paro - Delhi - Home
Early morning drive to Paro Airport for departure. Arrive Delhi and connect your international flight to home.
