What is Patanjali Yogpeeth (Phase-I) ?
Whose heart doesn't move on seeing mankind suffering from dreadful diseases?
When Pujya Swami Ramdev Ji saw this God's creation in the form of human-being,
crying and suffering from chronic and fatal disease, his heart was filled
with pity and sorrow and there was a flux of current of passionate service
of humanity, consequently, the saints- Pujya Swami ji, Vaidraj Acharya Balkrishanji,
Swami Muktanand ji etc. envisaged to serve God in the form of Man besides
Yog Sadhna as principal motto of their lives. This service work was initially
started on a very tiny scale. By the grace of God, Swamiji took up a divine
resolution to set up a grand Institution with world's largest O. P. D. of
six to ten thousand patients per day, an J. P. D. and a vast Pathological
Laboratory for treatment and research in Yog, and
Ayurved, on the Dellhi- Haradwar National Highway, near Bahadrabad in Hardwar,

Couple of unique features of Patanjali Yogpeeth Hardwar (Phase J) are given

of the Institution, the external surroundings such as roads, paths etc. have

the beauties of nature. Rare medicinal plants, collected from all parts of country
including Himalayan region have been planted on vast area of four acres, in
systematic way to conserve rare medicinal plants from extinction and to encourage
their nourishment in the region, which facilitate fresh use of flowers, fruits,
leaves, seeds and skin of the medicinal plants for treatment and further research.
Odorous wind flowing through herbal garden soothes the body and calm the mind
of all patients here. Fresh and efficacious nectar extracted from plants of
the herbal garden is available as drink for patients.
b. Library: A well arranged library in six thousand square feet area
has been arranged on First Floor of Block- A(Sadbhavna), inside the Institution,
where a rare collection of new and old texts in Yog and Ayurved are made available.
