Pushkar Festival Tour
Highlights of the Tour : One of the most popular and colorful fairs of the Thar desert is the Pushkar Fair, which begins on Kartik Shukla Ekadashi & goes on for five days till Kartik Purnima. The time of the fair coincides with the bright half of the moon during the months of October-November. The lake at Pushkar is one of the most sacred in India.

Day 01 : Arrival at Delhi
Arrive today in Delhi-A land of rich heritage that's ancient. The mystique of India, its history of 5000 years, philosophy, religions, fabulous history monuments all add to its bewildering diversity to create a unique and colorful mosaic.
You are greeted with a traditional Indian welcome and escorted by company representatives to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to relax and adjust to the time zone.

Day 02 : Delhi
Morning after breakfast embark on a tour of New Delhi, begins with the drive past Safdarjang's Tomb (1753 AD) on the way to Qutab Minar (1193 AD) this striking medieval tower of victory of Persian World is 73 m high.
Within the Qutab complex, amidst the ruins of Quwat-ul-Islam mosque, stands the Iron pillar which has stood the vagaries of weather and has not rusted over 1500 years.
Then drive through New Delhi includes the Embassy area (Diplomatic enclave), Government buildings, India Gate, Birla Temple and Connaught Place, New Delhi's main shopping area. Visit Humayun's Tomb - considered to be the fore runner of Taj Mahal.
Afternoon tour the Old Delhi. Among your stops are the Jama Mosque built in 1650 AD, followed by a drive past the breathtaking Red Fort (1639-1648), and built by Shah Jahan, creator of the Taj Mahal. Then we proceed on to Raj Ghat, which is the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi

Day 03 : Delhi - Agra
Morning after breakfast proceed for Agra. Reach Agra in the afternoon. Check-in at hotel.
Afternoon visit the magnificent monument to the memory of love, The Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved consort Mumtaz Mahal. This beautiful mausoleum took 22 years to complete with a work
force of 20,000. Craftsmen and master builders followed by the tour the exquisite the 16th century Agra Fort. Overnight at Agra.

04 : Agra - Jaipur
After breakfast proceed to the abandoned and nearly - intact Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri, a master piece of Muslim architecture. Continue overland to Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan, also known as the “Pink City” because of the extensive use of the locally abundant pink plastered stone, painted so in honor of the visit of the royal consort of Queen Victoria. Jaipur thrills the soul with its massive forts, magnificent palaces, exquisite temples and lush gardens.

Day 05 : Jaipur
Breakfast at hotel. You are transported back in time today, riding like royalty atop elegantly draped and painted Elephants, up into the high mountain fortress of Amber, the classic romantic Rajasthani fort palace. Later, enjoy a tour of Jaipur City, visiting Hawal Mahal or “Palace of Winds” , City Palace and ancient Observatory.

Day 06 : Jaipur - Pushkar
After breakfast start for Pushkar - a sacred town for the Hindus. The charm of this sleepy, lakeside settlement so captivated the great Indian poet, Kalidas,that it found a place in his classic, Abhigyan Sakuntalam. The Great Hindu epics of Mahabharat and Ramayana make references to this religious place regarded to be Adi Tiratha. Evidence points to its having existed during the fourth century B.C. lake in the inhospitable surroundings of a desert is no less than a miracle.
The city is considered by Hindus to be one of the most sacred places in India and has, perhaps, the only existing temple dedicated to lord Brahma, the creator of the Hindu trinity. Overnight at Pushkar.
ACCOMMDATION : The Swiss Camp captures the luxurious nostalgia of a bygone era of royal safari and shikar camps. The tents have been innovatively crafted using the traditional skills and crafts of Marwar. The Camp consists of individual tents, each with a verandah, a bedroom and a bathroom. There is a large dining tent serving the best of Rajasthani cuisine. The Camp is located in a large private site overlooking the Mela (Fair) ground and flanked by open fields and hills. The Mela ground is within easy walking distance and the town of Pushkar can be approached on foot or camel, through the Mela, or by car along the road. A campfire is focal point for the evening s entertainment programme with the rhythms of the Thar desert folk music, dances, magic and puppet shows.

Day 09 : Pushkar - Udaipur
After breakfast drive to Udaipur .Arrive and check in at hotel. Relax in the evening.

Day 10 : Udaipur
Morning sightseeing tour of Udaipur visiting the fort, Sahelion -ki -bari. Puppet museum etc. Evening boat ride on the lake Pichola. A most memorable boat ride with the reflections of the majestic lake palace at its best against the setting sun.
Overnight at Udaipur.
Day 11 : Udaipur - Mumbai - Home
This morning fly to Mumbai and Transfer to international Airport for your international flight filled with colorful memories.
